LYFA's Mosaik floor lamp is a lighting classic designed by Bent Karlby in 1959. The design is based on two elements: a conical shade and a decorative copper tube connecting the shade to the base. The cone directs most of the light downwards, while the open top allows a small beam of light to reach the ceiling or wall.
The playful brass details are characteristic of Bent Karlby's work, while the clear geometric shape marked a departure from the organic forms of his early career. Originally designed for the most modern homes of its time, the minimalist Mosaik floor lamp now fits effortlessly into private interiors, restaurants, cafés and other public spaces.
